Villa Wedding
Private villa weddings in Bali, taking over a beautiful home for a personal, flexible celebration with your closest people around you.
A villa wedding means taking over a private estate for a few days: the ceremony in the garden, dinner by the pool, and the people you love most still there at breakfast. Of everything we plan, this is the format couples describe afterwards as the best week of their lives rather than the best day.
It is also the format where the listing price tells you the least. A private home was never built to host eighty people, so the real numbers, and the real rules, live in the details below.
How villa pricing actually works
Budget for three separate lines, because that is how the villa will bill you.
First, the rental itself: the nightly rate multiplied by the minimum stay. Second, a function fee for holding an event on the property, charged on top of the rent. A useful rule of thumb is that this fee costs about one more night, and it steps up with your guest list: from around 7 million rupiah when only house guests attend to 50 million once you pass 60 guests, roughly 390 to 2,780 USD for the same property on the same night. Third, catering, brought in from outside and priced per head.
That structure is why guest count moves your total more than the villa choice does. We break it all down, corkage and generators included, in the real cost of a Bali wedding.
Use the minimum stay instead of fighting it
Most wedding villas require a stay of three nights. Some ask for seven, and weekend dates often stretch the requirement further.
Couples read that as a cost. We plan it as the shape of the celebration: a welcome dinner the night everyone lands, the wedding on day two, and a slow morning by the pool after, with nobody negotiating taxis at midnight. For groups of ten to twenty, this is the point of the whole format. Your people wake up where the party happened.
The curfew question, honestly
There is no hotel manager to end your night, but there are neighbours, and every villa sits inside a banjar, the local village community. The banjar contribution runs roughly 3 to 8 million rupiah (170 to 450 USD), and the agreement that comes with it sets the practical limits on your evening. Amplified music in most areas stops between 10pm and midnight.
Isolated properties sometimes negotiate later; villas in a dense neighbourhood cannot, whatever the listing implies. We find out which one you are looking at before you sign, and we build the timeline so dinner and dancing land inside the window.
Where to look
Canggu and Seminyak hold the design-forward villas, minutes from the restaurants and beach clubs your guests will use all week. Uluwatu has the clifftop estates with infinity pools over the ocean, at the island’s highest prices and longest lead times. Ubud trades the coast for river valleys and cooler air, and suits smaller lists beautifully. Tabanan and the quieter east coast reward couples chasing calm at a genuine price advantage.
The freedom comes with a to-do list
A villa hands you choices no hotel will: your own caterer, your own layout, and no house list telling you which florist to hire.
The other side of that freedom is infrastructure. Everything gets trucked in, down to the power, because wedding-scale lighting, sound and catering will trip a domestic supply, and many villas require an independent generator for exactly that reason. Our event rentals work covers that layer so it never becomes your problem.
If this list reads as work rather than freedom, a resort wedding trades some of the privacy for an in-house team and infrastructure that already exists. Neither answer is wrong. Tell us how you want the week to feel, and we will tell you which side of that trade you are on.
Couples who want privacy and flexibility, and who love the idea of their closest guests staying together for the whole celebration.

Why couples choose us
We know which villas allow weddings
Plenty of beautiful villas quietly do not, or cap guests at a number the listing never mentions. We check the event licence before you fall in love with one.
The banjar is part of the deal
Village fees and neighbour agreements are real, and they are negotiable. We have that conversation locally, in Indonesian, well before your date.
A blank villa needs everything brought in
Kitchen, power, furniture, lighting, and bathrooms for eighty people. We plan the infrastructure so the day looks effortless rather than improvised.
Estimated cost
Villa rental and the event fee are two separate charges, and the second one surprises people. Add rentals and catering, which scale with your numbers, and you have most of this range explained. Put a number against your own day in the price simulator.

Common questions
Why choose a villa over a resort?+
Privacy and flexibility. A villa is yours alone, with no hotel curfew and total freedom over how the day runs. It suits couples who want an intimate house-party feel.
Does a villa have everything we need?+
A villa is a blank canvas, so we bring in catering, styling, sound, and rentals. We plan those details carefully so nothing is missing on the day.
Can guests stay at the villa?+
Often, yes, which is part of the charm. Everyone wakes up together and eases into the day. We can also arrange nearby stays for larger groups.
How much does a Bali villa wedding cost?+
Most land between 8,000 and 40,000 USD all in. The structure matters more than the range: villa rental for the minimum stay, a function fee on top, then catering priced per head. Guest count moves the total more than anything else.
What is a villa function fee?+
A separate charge for holding an event on the property, on top of the nightly rent. As a rule of thumb it costs about one more night, and it steps up with guest numbers, from a few hundred USD when only house guests attend to around 2,780 USD past 60 guests.
Do wedding villas in Bali have a minimum stay?+
Almost always. Three nights is the common floor, some properties ask for up to seven, and weekend dates often stretch the requirement. We plan those nights as part of the celebration: a welcome dinner, the wedding day, a slow recovery brunch.
How late can we play music at a villa wedding?+
Amplified sound in most areas stops between 10pm and midnight, a limit set with the local banjar rather than by the villa itself. Isolated properties sometimes negotiate later. We confirm the exact cut-off for any villa before you commit.
