Villa Bukit Segara is a seaside estate on the hill road at Bunutan, at the southern end of the Amed coast in east Bali. The main house holds eight bedrooms and sleeps 16 to 18, with two more private-pool villas, Villa Nangka and Villa Intaran, alongside it. Stone terraces step down to an infinity pool above the shore, and there is a restaurant and direct access to the beach below.
What makes it work for a wedding is that the estate has already thought the day through. The ceremony happens on a terrace above the beach and the sea, the party moves to the pool terrace, and there is a stage over the water for the band and the dancing. A terrace built for the ceremony
The estate built a terrace above the beach specifically for ceremonies, with the reception laid out beside the infinity pool and a stage over the water for dancing. That sequence already exists here, which saves a lot of improvising three hours from the nearest rental company.
They have their own boat
Villa Bukit Segara runs a sailing catamaran off its own beach with a sailing school attached. It is an odd thing for a wedding venue to own and a very good thing for the two days either side of the day itself.
