Cocana Resort is the answer when a Gili wedding outgrows the small beach properties. It is one of the newest resorts on the west coast of Gili Trawangan, the quiet sunset half of the island, with 111 keys across 66 lagoon suites and 45 pool villas, and it publishes four event spaces with real numbers attached: Pacifica Gardens and the Poolsuite at 200 guests each, the Sunset Club at 150, and Pacifica Restaurant seating 90. The resort’s own ceiling is 200 guests in total.
Two hundred is a serious guest count for an island reached only by fast boat. What makes it workable here is that the rooms and the venues sit on the same site, so a three-day wedding weekend runs without moving anyone. Ceremonies happen on the sand in front of the resort, with the reef break behind and the water the colour it is in every photograph of this coast. Dinner goes to the gardens under the palms or into the restaurant. The Sunset Club, where the grill is cooked over open fire on the beach and the volcano on the horizon is Mount Agung, over in Bali, works best as the welcome night.
The resort also offers a full buyout, which for a wedding of this size on the Gilis is usually the simplest route. Nothing is published on price: venue, catering and rooms are quoted per event, a buyout is priced separately again, and we reconfirm current figures with the resort for your date.

Two hundred guests is a big number for an island reached only by boat, and Cocana is one of very few properties here with the rooms, the kitchen and the ground to absorb it. Pacifica Gardens alone takes 200 under the palms.
111 keys, so the guest list stays in one place
Sixty-six lagoon suites, 38 one-bedroom pool villas, five two-bedroom and two three-bedroom. Families take a villa, the wedding party takes the suites, and nobody is negotiating a horse cart across the island at midnight. For a multi-day wedding weekend that changes everything.
Sunset Club is the venue people remember
A grill cooked over open fire on the beach, cocktails, and a volcano silhouette on the horizon that is Mount Agung in Bali, across the water. We put the welcome night or the day-after lunch here rather than the wedding dinner, so it stays a separate memory.

How many guests can Cocana Resort take?+
Up to 200, which is the resort's published maximum. Pacifica Gardens and the Poolsuite both hold 200, the Sunset Club takes 150, and Pacifica Restaurant seats 90 for a formal dinner. Above about 120 we usually recommend looking at a full buyout.
Can we book the whole resort?+
Yes, the resort offers a full buyout for groups, which is the cleanest way to run a wedding weekend on an island this small. It gives you all 111 keys and every venue for the duration. We ask about buyout dates early, because Trawangan fills up from June to September.
What does a wedding at Cocana cost?+
The resort does not publish package prices. Venue hire, catering, styling and rooms are quoted per event, and a buyout is priced separately again. We get a written quote for your date and guest count.
Which side of Gili Trawangan is it on?+
The west side, the sunset coast, which is the quieter half of the island away from the harbour and the bar strip. On a clear evening the volcano on the horizon from the Sunset Club is Mount Agung in Bali, across the water. Gili Trawangan is off Lombok in West Nusa Tenggara, not in Bali.
