Full Wedding (Ceremony & Reception)
The full Bali wedding: ceremony, cocktails, dinner, and dancing under the stars, planned and run from start to finish.
A full wedding is the day most people picture when they hear the word: a ceremony in the late afternoon, cocktails while the sun drops, a long dinner with speeches, then dancing until the venue tells us to turn it down. From 60 guests upward, that day is really three or four events run back to back, each with its own setup, sound, and lighting.
The day in four acts
Here is the arc we build most often. Ceremony at 5pm, because sunset lands between 6pm and 6.30pm all year and vows in golden light are worth planning around. Cocktail hour follows on a lawn or terrace while we turn the ceremony space into the dinner one. Dinner runs from about 7.30pm, with speeches spread between courses rather than stacked at the start. The dance floor opens near 9.30pm.
One local rule shapes the ending: most areas of Bali stop amplified music between 10pm and midnight, set by the venue and the local banjar. If you want to dance until 2am, we plan the move to an after-party space in advance, not on the night.
A venue built for the count
At this size the venue question changes. Sixty or more guests need serious catering capacity, parking, generator power, and wet-weather cover for everyone at once, and the properties that handle all of that gracefully are a shorter list than Instagram suggests.
The clifftop resorts around Uluwatu are the classic setting for exactly this format, and the resort strip in Nusa Dua carries big groups with the least friction anywhere on the island. A villa can work past 60 guests, but expect a hired generator (some villas require a 40 kVA minimum for a wedding load), a marquee in the wet months, and a function fee that jumps once you cross 60: one estate we use charges around 16.5 million rupiah below that line and 50 million past it. The venue type is partly a budget decision.
What the budget looks like at 60 to 100 guests
Full weddings run 15,000 to 50,000 USD, and premium clifftop resorts treat the top of that range as a floor. A 90-guest celebration around 40,000 USD is an honest middle: a venue built for the scale, a plated dinner with a proper bar, statement florals and lighting, a full vendor team, and our staff running every hour on the ground.
Catering is the engine of the number, at 40 to 80 USD a head for buffet or family style and 150 to 250 for fine dining with a free-flow bar. The costs that stay flat, planning, photography, the celebrant, shrink as a share of the total, which is why doubling the guest list never doubles the bill. Watch the ++ as well: tax and service add 21 percent to any price quoted that way, which means thousands of dollars at this scale. The real cost of a Bali wedding goes through every one of those lines, and the typical Bali wedding budget shows how the bands compare.
The runway it needs
This is the format that rewards starting early. Peak-season Saturdays at the best venues book out 9 to 12 months ahead, deposits run 25 to 50 percent to hold a date, and a full vendor team means a dozen or more separate suppliers, each with transport fees and overtime rates we negotiate and lock in writing before the week of the wedding. Our guide to where to start planning a Bali wedding sets out the order that keeps all of it calm.
If you are torn on the size
Couples sometimes come to us for this and leave with something smaller, and we would rather that than a wedding stretched thin. If your honest list is under 40, an intimate wedding spends the same money on fewer people to greater effect. If the list is real, this is the day we most love to run. Send us the count and the date you are circling, and we will tell you which venues can actually hold it.
Couples who want the big celebration, with dancing and speeches and a late night, but held somewhere extraordinary.

Why couples choose us
One team from first call to last song
Venue, vendors, paperwork, timeline, and the day itself sit with the same people. Nothing gets handed between agencies and dropped in the gap.
A run sheet the vendors actually follow
Every supplier works from the same timing document and a briefing beforehand. When the caterer, the band, and the photographer share one sheet, the evening does not drift.
We are the ones your family asks
On the day you are not fielding questions about where the shuttle is. Someone from our team is on site holding all of it, in English and Indonesian.
Estimated cost
Guest count drives this more than any other package. Catering and drinks scale per head while planning, styling, and venue hold roughly steady, so doubling the list does not double the cost. We show you exactly where it does. Put a number against your own day in the price simulator.

Common questions
Is a full wedding the most complex format to plan?+
Yes, which is exactly where a full-service team earns its place. A ceremony, a turnover, a dinner, and a party are effectively separate events sharing one evening, and we absorb the hundred decisions behind them so you never see the machinery.
How many guests can you handle?+
From around 60 to several hundred, matched to a venue genuinely built for the count. Past a certain scale the honest answer is a resort rather than a villa, and we will tell you where that line sits for your number.
How much does a full wedding in Bali cost?+
Most run 15,000 to 50,000 USD. A 90-guest celebration lands around 40,000 USD with a proper venue, plated dinner, bar, full styling, and a complete vendor team. Premium clifftop resorts treat the top of that range as a starting point.
How far in advance should we book a Bali wedding?+
For a peak-season Saturday at a sought-after venue, 9 to 12 months. Quieter months and weekdays give you more room, but this format still needs a longer runway than any other, mostly for the venue and the best photographers.
Can a villa host 100 guests in Bali?+
Some can, with caveats: a hired generator, a marquee in the wet season, and a function fee that steps up sharply past 60 guests. Resorts carry that scale with less friction, which is why most of our largest weddings end up on a clifftop or in Nusa Dua.
Is a full wedding in Bali cheaper than one at home?+
For most couples from Australia, the UK, the US, and Singapore, yes, often including everyone's flights, because catering, labour, and venue hire sit at a different level here. The saving only holds if you see every fee upfront and pay local rates rather than tourist quotes.
Does it include the after-party?+
It can. We plan the whole arc from ceremony to the last dance. Most venues stop amplified music between 10pm and midnight, so when you want to keep going we book a second space and the transport between them as part of the same timeline.
