Mimpi Resort Tulamben
Beachfront dive resort, Tulamben
Photos: Mimpi Resort Tulamben
Mimpi Resort Tulamben sits on the black pebble bay at Tulamben, on Bali’s northeast coast, with Mount Agung directly behind it and the reef starting a few metres offshore. Around 30 rooms and villas run down through old trees and lawns to an infinity pool that finishes at the shore, and the ceremony deck sits between the two, so the aisle ends at the water and the arch reflects in the pool.
The resort publishes two wedding packages and both cost the same: IDR 29,000,000 nett for up to 20 people, around USD 1,730, including tax and service. One is Balinese-style with marigold arches, Tiffany chairs and traditional attire, the other contemporary with a floral chapel arch. Each includes two nights in the Oceanview Courtyard Villa, a wedding organiser, a celebrant and certificate, two hours of exclusive use of the beach, sparkling wine, a sound system, a 90-minute massage for the couple and a private in-villa breakfast. Dinner, drinks, a rindik band and photography are published as add-ons per guest or per item.
We send couples here when the diving is part of the plan. The USAT Liberty wreck is a short walk up the beach, which is why anyone comes to Tulamben in the first place. We reconfirm current figures and availability with the resort for your date.

Why we love it
The deck is the whole argument
The ceremony sits on a timber deck with the infinity pool behind it and Tulamben Bay directly in front, so the aisle ends at the water and the arch reflects in the pool. It is the most photographed square metre in Tulamben and the resort knows exactly how to dress it.
Two looks, one price
Mimpi publishes a Balinese-style package with marigold arches, Tiffany chairs and traditional attire, and a contemporary package with a floral chapel arch, both at IDR 29,000,000 nett for up to 20 people including tax and service. Published nett figures are unusual on this coast and worth taking seriously.
You can dive the Liberty before lunch
The USAT Liberty wreck lies a few minutes up the beach, close enough to shore-dive. For a group who came here for the water, that is the reason to marry in Tulamben rather than somewhere prettier and further from the reef.

Common questions
Can you get married at Mimpi Resort Tulamben?+
Yes. The resort runs two published wedding packages, one Balinese-style and one contemporary, both including a wedding organiser, a celebrant, a wedding certificate, decoration and chairs, sound system and two hours of exclusive use of the beach area. It is a ceremonial arrangement, so we handle the legal framing separately.
How much does a wedding at Mimpi Resort Tulamben cost?+
Both packages are IDR 29,000,000 nett for up to 20 people, around USD 1,730, including tax and service and two nights in the Oceanview Courtyard Villa. Dinner is added per guest at IDR 480,000, drinks packages from IDR 165,000, and photography with video at IDR 13,750,000. We reconfirm the current sheet for your date.
How many guests can it take?+
The published packages are written for up to 20 people. Beyond that the resort has around 30 rooms and villas, so a larger group can still stay on site and we scope the catering and layout with the events team for your numbers.
What is the beach like at Tulamben?+
Black volcanic pebble rather than sand, with clear water and the reef starting immediately offshore. It is striking in photographs and not a lie-down-with-a-book beach. Mount Agung sits directly behind the resort and is clearest in the first hours of the day.
