Hai Tide Beach Resort
Beachfront resort, Mushroom Bay
Photos: Hai Tide Weddings
Hai Tide sits on Mushroom Bay, the sheltered cove on the north-west corner of Nusa Lembongan, where the water is calm enough to swim in all day. The resort is 24 traditional lumbung bungalows and four two-bedroom pool villas set in tropical garden, with two beachfront restaurants and a pool in the middle of it.
The wedding happens between the sand and Hai Ri Zen, the open-sided bamboo restaurant that looks straight down the beach. Ceremonies are usually at the water’s edge in the late afternoon, with the reception moving under the bamboo roof once the lanterns come on. Depending on how the rooms are arranged the resort takes roughly 60 to 90 wedding guests, and most of them sleep on site, which removes the usual island problem of moving people around after dark.
What sets it apart is the in-house team. Hai Tide Weddings is the resort’s own wedding brand, and their coordination is included in the package rather than charged on top, along with a vendor list of hair and makeup artists, photographers, florists and entertainers they use constantly. We work alongside them on the parts that still have to come across on the boat and on the schedule your guests travel to. Packages are built per couple rather than published, so we reconfirm current figures and availability with the resort for your date.

Ceremony & reception spaces
Why we love it
Mushroom Bay is the calmest water on the island
It is a sheltered cove, so the sand is soft, the swimming is easy and a ceremony at the water's edge is not fighting a shore break. On the west coast at Sandy Bay the surf is part of the drama. Here it is a backdrop that stays quiet while somebody reads their vows.
The coordination is already in the package
Hai Tide runs its own wedding team, and they are included rather than billed separately. They bring hair and makeup, photography, florists and entertainment from a list they use week in and week out, which on an island that ships everything in is genuinely useful.
Bamboo, lumbungs and lantern light
Hai Ri Zen is an open-sided bamboo restaurant looking straight down the beach, and the 24 lumbungs behind it are traditional rice-barn bungalows. Strung with lanterns after dark it needs very little styling, which keeps a decorating budget honest.

Good to know
Common questions
How many guests can Hai Tide host?+
Around 60 to 90 depending on how the rooms are arranged, with the ceremony on the sand at Mushroom Bay and the reception at Hai Ri Zen, the bamboo restaurant on the beach. Twenty-four lumbungs and four two-bedroom villas mean most of the party can sleep on site.
Where is the ceremony held?+
On the beach in front of the resort, on the sheltered sand of Mushroom Bay, or under the open bamboo roof of Hai Ri Zen if the weather turns. Portraits usually move to the headland at the end of the bay in the last hour of light.
Does the resort plan the wedding?+
It has its own team, Hai Tide Weddings, and their coordination comes with the package at no extra fee. They bring hair and makeup, photography and videography, florists and entertainment. We work alongside them on the parts that come from Bali and on the boat logistics for your guests.
How do guests get there?+
Fast boat from Sanur, around 30 to 40 minutes, then a short ride to Mushroom Bay. The resort belongs to the Bali Hai Cruises group, which also runs a catamaran from Benoa Harbour, so there is more than one way to move a large group across in one piece.
