The Sanctuary Bali is a large private estate in Cepaka, Tabanan, built around a river that cuts through roughly two hectares of jungle grounds. It sits only a few minutes from Canggu and Echo Beach, close enough for guests staying on the coast, far enough to feel like its own world once you are inside the gate.

The scale is what sets it apart. Around ten bedrooms across separate pavilions, a 35-metre infinity pool, and lawns wide enough to hold a real wedding crowd rather than a small garden ceremony. The estate runs its own in-house wedding planning team, so the logistics of a big day on private grounds, layout, power, vendor access, are already familiar territory before we even arrive.

It suits couples who want a large guest list and a private, jungle-and-river backdrop rather than a hotel function room. Villa rental, the function fee for using the grounds, and the local banjar fee are separate line items, and catering is arranged on top of all of it. We treat the pricing here as an estimate to reconfirm for your date, since the venue does not publish a fixed nightly rate.

Why we love it

A river runs through it

The estate sits in a jungle valley in Cepaka, with a river winding through around 20,000 to 22,000 square metres of grounds. It reads as genuinely wild, a few minutes' drive from Canggu and Echo Beach, not a resort garden dressed up to look natural.

Built to hold a big day

Ten bedrooms and wide lawns mean the property can host both the wedding party's stay and a large ceremony and reception on the same grounds, with the 35-metre infinity pool as a natural centrepiece for photos and evening drinks.

A team that already knows weddings

The villa runs its own in-house wedding planning team, used to coordinating layout, vendors, and timing on site. That local experience shortens the learning curve for everyone we bring in from outside.

Good to know

Common questions

Is The Sanctuary Bali actually in Canggu?+

It sits in Cepaka, Tabanan, a jungle riverside setting a few minutes' drive from Canggu and Echo Beach. We group it with our Canggu venues because that is the nearest hub for guests staying nearby.

Is catering included in the rental?+

No. The villa rate covers the property itself; catering is arranged separately and typically runs USD 25 to 150 per head depending on the menu. We can plan and quote this alongside your booking.

How many guests can the estate host?+

The villa sleeps up to 36 across roughly 10 bedrooms, and the lawns can hold a considerably larger day guest list for the ceremony and reception. Exact seated and standing numbers depend on your layout, so we confirm capacity with the venue once we know your guest count.

What is the minimum stay for a wedding booking?+

Five nights in low and high season, seven nights at peak season, plus the function fee of one extra night's villa rate for the event day itself.
