Bali wedding price simulator

Built from real published prices: villa event fees, resort and clifftop packages, caterer rates, and the local costs that never appear in a headline number. Nothing is sent anywhere and there is no email wall.

50 guests

This moves your budget more than anything else you choose.

Where are you marrying?
Anything else?

When a Bali price is written "200,000,000++", those plus signs are government tax and service charge added on top. It is the single biggest surprise on a Bali wedding bill.

Where these numbers come from

The model is built from published Bali prices rather than guesswork: villa event-fee tiers taken from real villa terms, clifftop chapel packages that charge roughly 90 to 130 USD per guest on top of a base fee, caterer rates per head, and vendor price lists for photography, florals, hair and make-up, and music. The same figures sit behind our breakdown of what a Bali wedding costs.

The three costs that catch couples out

The event fee. Hiring a villa is not the same as being allowed to marry in it. Villas charge a separate fee that steps up with your headcount, and it can pass 2,500 USD once you go over 60 guests.

The banjar contribution. The banjar is the local village community, and holding an event on their land means paying them. Expect roughly 200 to 400 USD depending on the area, and treat it as normal rather than a shakedown: it is how things are done properly here.

The "++". Tax and service are added on top of quoted venue and catering prices, usually 21 percent, sometimes 15. On a large bill that is thousands of dollars nobody mentioned.

Watch: the real cost of a Bali wedding

These three are the start of a longer list. Corkage, vendor travel, overtime, generators and the wet-season marquee all arrive later in the process. We walk through every one of them, with current prices, in twelve minutes:

The fees that only appear on the final bill, and how to keep each one off yours.

Prefer reading? The real cost of a Bali wedding covers the same ground with every figure written down, so nothing on your final invoice is the first time you have seen it.

If the number surprises you, the fastest levers are your guest list and your date. An elopement or an intimate wedding buys you the same island for a fraction of the catering, and a green-season weekday can take a third off the venue. When you are ready to turn this into a plan, start with planning a Bali wedding: where to start and work through the checklist.
